    Condom Mishap

I am new to this site, please bare with me.

My boyfriend and I were having sex, and he tends to like to snuggle after he ejaculates (he did ejaculate into the condom). Well, he went soft and then withdrew, but the condom slipped off and remained inside me. I did manage to retrieve it. I pulled the condom out via the lip, and there was still a lot of semen inside it (the condom did not break).

We then called the On-call Nurse and she advised that being only 2 days since the end of my last cycle, it was unlikely that I could fall pregnant, as there would be no egg for ovulation to commence. She also advised that I should take the 'Morning-after' pill which I took only approximately 3-4 hours after the mishap. I am worried that I could fall pregnant - Please help!

    Thank you

The morning after pill is very affective, having used it one time myself. You should be fine.

If you are really worried, I would just go ahead and get the morning after pill. Are you on the pill? If you are and as long as you're taking it as directed I wouldn't worry about it too much.

          You should be fine then.

I would definitely look into the birth control pill if I were you. I've been on it for three years and it works great for me. Only mild side effects at times but I have not had one pregnancy scare since being on them. Trust me, they really help ease your mind knowing that you have another form of protection!

I have been on the pill too, but circumstances have made me choose to go off them - I'll certainly be going to my GP and getting a prescription! Thanks for your help - my mind is fully at ease!
