2 missed pills on Nordette
I have been using Nordette for 2 months now and I am now currently in the middle of the pack. I missed a pill on Saturday and Sunday and since I had unprotected sex on both days, I took NorLevo (morning after pill) on Monday morning together with my regular pill for that day. Later that night, I started bleeding. Now I don't really know what to do.. should I still continue on with the pack or let my period finish? Has this ever happened to anyone? Please help.. -
Morning after pills will mess things up and I don't think you were supposed to take your standard birth control that day. The morning after pill is just a high dose version of your standard daily pills. It frequently triggers all the symptoms of having your period. I would guess you keep on with your normal birth control schedule but it would be best to ask a doctor. -
Why would you take the morning after pill while you are on a regular birth control pill? Even if you missed a pill. Read the pamphlet that comes with the pill, it tells you what to do should you miss a pill. The hormones from the pill are built up in your system over time, each pill doesn't just last 24 hours. Next time, do as instructed in the pamphlet or call your Dr before going on hormone overload with the morning after pill.Comment
