I know your period is supposed to be lighter but does it really kick in this soon? So I got prescribed birth control for the first time and I was waiting on my period to start taking it. My period came the day it was supposed to, it felt like the start of a regular period and then I took the pill within 3 hours of it. Normally the first night it's heavy but this time it felt like it was the last day of my normal period and the next day it was no heavier than spotting. So I don't even know if this is my actual period or not. I've never gotten spotting before, its pretty consistent and it lasts 5-6 days. Is it normal to be this short so soon?

yes this is normal. i get light periods and the last onyl 4 days MAX

This sounds normal. The effects of the first pill set in pretty quickly, I think. I was off birth control for several months recently, and when I started again, the first pill made me sick within the first night. Do you keep track of when your period starts? Is this the normal time?
