Starting to freak out! Plan B inhibits ovulation , but what if you were ovulating or just did ovulate when you had sex? The directions say it MAY stop the egg from attaching?? One website claims that if there is already an egg, and you stop it from attaching it is like an abortion pill? I am completely against abortion!

I took plan b two months in a row a few years ago. Noticed that my periods were heavier after I took it, but nothing other than that.

I took plan b today (monday) and had sex late saturday night. My concern is that I think I may have been ovulating the day I had sex due to the excessive lubrication that I had that day and a few days before that?

Plan b does far more than stop ovulation. I forget the exact numbers but it's well over 90% effective. It's about as effective as if you'd been taking hormonal birth control for several months. However it is not healthy or without side effects so best to avoid having to use it. Many people end up having their period soon after taking it. Some miss a period. Some end up with spotting for weeks. Some also have other symptoms like bad cramps.

It absolutely has NOTHING to do with abortion, and anyone who says so is just furthering propaganda for any number of reasons. Plan B = abortion is a pure myth.

I agree with kira's post, and would recommend using some other method of protection. Plan B is fine but is not meant to be used regularly.
