Please help- plan b reactions?
its been 2 weeks since I had sex. took plan B about 30 hours later- think I was ovulating the day I had sex. A few days a go i started feeling like I had a sunburn all over my body. I felt hot all the time but sometimes it would end up getting worse. It scared me when my head kept getting hotter and hotter!! I have also felt a little weak, hot, weird in the middle of the night. I am 40 and have regular periods. Have not had any hot flashes that I know of. I have also had no sweating with these episodes.

Plan B is very effective if taken on time, which you've done - I really wouldn't consider pregnancy as the likeliest cause for what you're experiencing. I've taken plan B and didn't experience any side effects but have heard of others who have had delayed periods, cramps, etc. Haven't heard of hot flashes, though, but to me that doesn't sound like a side effect of plan B OR pregnancy. -
You should be fine as soon as the hormones get out of your system.
The first time I took plan B I had really bad hot flashes, cramps and gained 20 pounds. (I react badly to hormones in the first place).
It's really unlikely you're pregnant. Depending on the person, it can take a lot of work to become pregnant- and out of those that would, the plan B protects 7 out of 8. As Mes_T indicated- you're probably fine. The stress of worrying about it could probably be getting to you too.
I hope you feel better soon!Comment
