HELP!!! OFF Depo Provera for 5 months now
Hello I need some answers cause this is a lil concerning. I have been OFF Depo Provera Since MARCH 2010 and i still have had no period had some VERY LIL spotting like 2months ago but nothing now. So now i am a lil concerned since i dont know whats going on. I have never had this problem with the last 2 times i had gotten off before. Does Anyone have any ideas or has encountered this situation????Last edited by cwafler; 08-15-2010, 10:43 PM. -
It takes some women up to a year to regain any type of menstrual normalcy after coming off Depo, or really any type of birth control.
Even though this wasn't the case for you before, it could very well be the case now as every time will be different.
If you are really concerned about it, call your Dr's office and at least talk to a nurse and get her opinion. They may want to see you for an exam. -
Hello, thank you for responding. I guess i am just a lil mistrusting my body since this time i am doing everything right by exercising and sauna's and just eating right and it seems to just be back failing on me. i guess i will really start to get concerned if it doesnt happen by dec since that was my first time getting back on the shot, last year. and my last!Comment

I'm on the depo, and I've been told that they time it can take your body to return to a 'normal' menstrual cycle depends on how long you were on the shot and your body's natural physiology, but it can be upwards of a year or two.
I wouldn't worry about it, but like you said if by 1 year since your last shot (December) you're still having trouble you should head to the gynocologist to get some answers and peace of mind.Comment
