skipping a period week
Ok so basicly I started taking the plecbo for two days, then because of the hoilday and other reasons I decided to skip my period this month. I proceeded to take the first week of pills of the new pack. Now after a couple of days Im still haveing light bleeding. Nothing as heavy as a period but just enough to be bothersome. So what I need to know is have I completely messed up my cycle or will it go back to normal when I start the second week of active pills tomarrow? Thanks so much. -
Hello LadyPinky
Sometimes even when you attempt to skip your period you may experience a lighter period as you mentioned you did. Now to get back into the cycle will be fine but it may be lighter/heavier the next time you have your period and possibly for a longer time as well. You may experience when taking the next few active pills that the bleeding may continue for a while before getting back into routine.
Keep in mind when you are on the pill you dont technically have a "period" its basically only break through bleeding caused by the hormones in the pill so they control your cycle regardless.
