HELP
I have a copper IUD. I have had it for 3 years and have had a chronic BV for the last 2 years. My doctor said it is very rare to get BVs from an IUD. I have done alot of research and the research says you can get BVs from IUDs. Has any one had this problem? If you have, did the BVs permanatly go away when you got it removed? Cause I spent alot of money on it and I have seven years left. It was such a waste of money.....

I had BV immediately after insertion of the Mirena. Then itchiness and stuff would come and go the entire time I had the stupid thing. It got so bad at times my vagina would swell so much and it was so painful. My dr also told me it wasnt from the IUD but I knew better. They had me switch all my soaps and detergents and change to unbleached toilet paper and nothing helped. Then I got to see one of my dr's associates and she told me it was an effect of the Mirena. She said if it continued it should be removed. I had the IUD removed on 2/9 and I havent had one bought of irritation. -
My Co Worker Said That She Was On The Iud And Experienced Dryness...mood Swings...pimples....as Well As Bv. She Said Tht Hers Was Bad Too. In Learning Make Sure That The Medication That They Give You Is For Bv. Last Month Someone I Know Was Given Medication That Was To Help With Bv. Come To Find Out...it Was Medicines For Intestines. Be Careful.~ LIFE IS NOT MEASURED BY HOW MANY BREATHS WE TAKE...BUT BY THE MOMENTS THAT TAKE OUR BREATH AWAY!
