    morning after pill effecting me

I had sex just over a week ago and took the pill, levonelle, the day after. Now a week later when it seemed to be fine, ive started getting really bad pains in my breasts. I started bleeding today so i'm pretty sure its a side effect to the pill and not pregnancy. Though I have taken the morning after pill in the past and I didnt get any of this.

I think i need to go to the doctor and look at other forms of contraception, cos this is not fun.

If your not having sex on a regular basis (not in a relationship) whats the best contraception to use? I dont want to pay £28 a pop everytime i have sex. really would be a complete waste of time and money!

The MAP is not intended to be used in place on contraception. In fact doing so can damage your health. Do get in and get some proper conception control.

WC is right, the morning after pill is NOT meant to be used as a form of protection. It is ONLY for times in which a condom breaks or your other form of protection becomes compromised. A lot of girls have some pretty rotten side effects (cramping for the next month, sore breasts, spotting, etc) after taking map.

Especially if you're not in a relationship and are having casual sex........condoms are a must. You should be just as concerned with STD's as with pregnancy.

Yeh I agree with everything you both said. Condoms are a must and it was silly for us not to use one, it was a one-off. And it's only the second time in my life that i have used levonelle.

Does anyone think that there's a possibility I could be pregnant? this 'period' has come two weeks early. My breasts are excruciating and the pain started over a week after having sex.
