    Birth control and vaginal discharge

Im 26 years old, Ive been using birth control on and off for about 4 years and stopped using August 2010, The reason being im trying to conceive. I never had by periods till December, this is my third month trying to get pregnant. How long does it usually take to get pregnant after using the pill?
And about 2/3 weeks back i started noticing that i was having excessive discharge especially when i have sex, its not on my panties or anything, i just notice it when i have sex, iv never had a problem with this before. I went to the doctor last week and he suggested i might have Candida and im now on a course of anti biotics, i hope they help. Do you think the discharge is caused by me stopping the pill now the uterus is cleansing itself of the plaque caused by the pill around the uterus. Im reallly confused and hope it goes away.

Someone told me the candida was caused by doxycycline which is an antibiotic i was on for my skin for a month. I finished my antibiotics yesterday and the vaginal discharge is gone, hopefully for good

Any kind of antibiotics can cause candida/yeast infection. Your doctor should know whether it's yeast or not by a gram smear and should never treat you for yeast with antibiotics!!!!!!!!!!! If you had a bacterial infection, that's another story. Then antibiotics are called for.
