Really messed up periods since having copper iud removed

i had the copper coil removed in sep/oct last year and have had really irregular periods since then, some are 40 day cycles and some i have 2 weeks from the start of my last period and im getting worried as i thought it would have calmed down by now, have made an appointment at the docs but thats over a week. Thank you

Whenever you stop birth control it can lead to messed up periods for sometimes as long as a year. It's not uncommon at all.
