Here is my timeline:

September I had an apointment with my OBGYN, got birth control pills, I was on OTC. I started it in late September after my period. I was on it until my period in december when I stopped taking it. (I found out that my insurance doesnt cover the "Check up" visits and I cannot afford a 350.00 bill every 6 months for a refill and check up so there's no point in continuing to take the pill) It is now February and I am not due for my period until March 2nd or 3rd. My period was what you would expect on BC, lighter and shorter from Oct-Dec. Once off the BC my period is still lighter but just as long as it used to be when I wasnt on BC. I was only on BC for three months. This is the second time I have had my period off of the pill. March will be the third.

When can I expect my period to go back to how it was before I started taking birth control? Will it take a full three months? Or is this my new normal?

Sorry this is my first expierence with the pill. I also am not worried about pregnancy.

with me it took 3 months for my period to get back to normal, i hav my period back but its not 100% notmal

WOW BC really (edit) up your system eh? How long were you on it for? So about three months, so about March I should be back to normal.

It took about a year for me but I was on it for 4-5 years straight before that.
