Can missing three days of birth control cause sore nipples?
I recently had my period (the week of placebo pills, on time and everything), but when I went to refill my prescription there was a problem at the pharmacy and I had to wait 3 days before I could get my new pill pack. That was 8 days ago (so I have been on active pills for 8 days) and my nipples have been sooo sore, not my breasts, just my nipples. Could this be from missing 3 days between packs? and how do I make it stop? it has never happened to me before and I have been on the pill for 4 years. Help! -
Did you have sex during that time? I ask because, my fertile time is on the 11th day following the start of my period. I've gotten pregnant twice using that timing. If you haven't had sex then your hormones may just have shifted somewhat and this would be entirely normal especially if you are ovulating and this can cause breast swelling and nipples being tender and sore. That which we forget may as well never really happened. -
It's quite possible that during the 3 days you were not taking the pill you ovulated. It's quite common for women to experience sore nipples post ovulation. Happened to me a few months ago and it felt like they were bruised. Fortunately, that ended.
I hope if you had sex during those days you were protected.Comment
