    Just started, possible problem?

I started on birth control at the end of last month (Depo-Provera), and, as expected, my period was changed... but it hasn't stopped and it's been about 12 days since it started. I'm worried this may be a really bad thing, can anyone tell me what's wrong, or soothe my mind if it's nothing?

Also, I forgot to mention, it normally only lasts 6-7 days for me... I know I may be overreacting, but oh well.. I need someone to tell me =P

    Thank you!

When I was on depo (when it 1st came out) I bled constantly ! It was a brown discharge not bright red. Because of that and the acne I got I stopped after 2 or 3 doses.

I think you should give it time your body has to adjust to the changes.

I would not give it time ... I have heard no good things from medical professionals about depo and would talk to a doc as soon as possible.

Talk to your doctor if you are worried. Many birth controls take up to 6 months for your body to become fully adjusted. If you don't like the reaction though try a different form of birth control. There are many options, you just have to find the right one for you!

When I started depo I had my period for a whole month but after that month I didnt get one again until I was off of it!! Just give it at least a month.
