Diane 35 and depression?
I've been prescribed this for my hormonal acne actually, but I'm having some bad sideeffects, primarily mood swings and suicidal thoughts. I've dealt with anxiety/depression for a long time, but its been mostly daily blues, the last few days I have felt absolutely awful, unable to get out of bed and crying myself to sleep, constantly questioning my quality of life and whether its worth to keep going. I just figured that it was my depression coming back, but after doing some research, it looks like its very common with BC, but especially this brand. I also feel extremely tired and having heart palpitations for no reason. So I will no longer take this, its not worth the risk.

As a male, I can't speak to BC specifically (obviously)...but I would never recommend that you stop any med "cold turkey" unless instructed to do so by a physician.
Have you contacted your prescribing physician, told them about the treatment effects and asked them for suggestions? There are many BCs on the market and many are used to help control acne outbreaks. I assume that there is another one that they can prescribe that might take the place of the current med and get the same or similar results.
Please contact your physician. -

I'm glad you did speak to your Doctor and she gave you something else.
I agree with what you did, if a drug makes you have heart palpitations (I remember a smoking aid doing that to me), you stop it and go straight back to the Doctor which you did..
I think that we all are different and it's difficult for a Doctor to work out without trial and error, the best medication that suits us, personally.
I also know of people that have taken medication that has totally bought them down....
Are you on any other medication for the anxiety or depression?
Have you thought about other methods as well you can try for the acne, lotions etc that you can also try, instead of medication?
