Cycle started
Hey I have been on birth control for almost three months and I've been taking it on time everyday. But I've been bleeding, like my cycle started (symptoms and all of pms) on the active pills... Is that normal? I should also mention I've been sexually active. I'm in business school and have been under a lot of stress lately, too. But I always make sure I take my pills on time everyday. My cycle isn't suppose to start until I take the placebos--1 week from today. -
Not everyone's cycles start on the placebo days, even though "technically" that's the whole point of the placebo pills...!
If your cycle is regular otherwise (same time every month), then don't worry about it.
If your cycle is irregular, maybe give your BC another month or two and then consider switching to a different brand/method. -
When you alter the cycle by skipping periods and delaying them you can cause weird things to happen like random spotting or having your next period a week late or early. Just keep taking the pills as they are in the pack and if it was working fine the past 3 months everything will get back on schedule. Probably with the start of the next pack.Comment
