I was on it for a while. Yes, I experienced weight gain. Nothing drastic in numbers, but when you're physically fit and health conscious, even a weight gain of 5-10 lbs is enough to trouble you. I was on lots of different ones in 10 years, but I believe this is the one that I was on for about a year and for about half that time I was a total horn dog and then for the last half I became an emotional wreck that constantly felt bloated and fat and very fatigued.
It may not have this same reaction with you. But just don't allow yourself to spend your life feeling bad and suffering just to be able to have unprotected sex. There are other options.Comment

I am on ortho-cyclen now. I didn't have any noticeable weight gain on this pill, but I have never had weight gains from any of the pills I have been on, and there has been a lot! I am changing to Levlen next month, which I took before. I feel better on the Levlen than any other pill. The ortho-cyclen seems to make me have horrible mood swings that didn't exist before. Sorry for the weight gain, but at least it doesn't make you crazy!?

I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo...the lo estrogen version of it. Never had any weight gain from any birth control pill i've been on. If you do have weight gain, its most likely from the pill causing an increase in appetite. I found this to happen with the Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, but not with Yaz. I had to get off them completely because of it causing such horrible depression and anxiety. Now looking into Paragard IUD.Comment
