    Help please

    Hey everyone,

I've just finished my first pack of the pill and am taking the sugar pills have been for 5 days but my peroid is yet to come, i started the first pack on the first day of my peroid ,yes Iam sexually active but have used condoms when I've had sex and nothing out of the normal has happened there.
But is it possible not to get your first peroid on the pill.?

Yes it is possible not to have your period while taking your first month of birth control only because your body is still getting used to seeing the pill in you. It is also possible to have spotting during the regular active pills in your next pack. Eventually your body will get used to seeing the pill in you and will regulate your menstrual cycle.

No birth control method is 100% safe so there is always a risk for pregnancy but it does not mean you get pregnant as soon as there is no condom involved. Birth control itself is in the area of 98-99.xx% effective if taken exactly as directed, that means no missed or skipped pills and taking it at the same time every day (there is about a 3 hour window around the normal time you take it in order to stay at max effectiveness). Also you do not need to keep using a condom while on birth control, you can if it is what you choose to do but the pill is already highly effective and if you are still nervous about being pregnant without a condom then just have him finish on your body instead of in you.
