is it normal to have irregular periods after not taking the pill?

hi, it's been about a month that i've been off ortho novum . . . i was only on that particular pill for 3 months & before that i've tried several other brands & they all made me sick. i haven't technically "missed" a period yet but i only have a few days until i would be on the placebo pills if i were on the pill & i'm worried it might not be on time? i guess what i'm asking is is it normal to be a little late the first month off the birth control pill? or is it possible i could be pregnant? my boyfriend & i have been using condoms but sometimes we forget to use one at the beginning & have to put one on before continuing anything . . . we're only human & sometimes sex comes unexpectidly lol any comments or stories about personal experiences would be appreciated.

Getting on or off BC pills would make you period out of whack.

thanks. if i am correct i was due for my period within the last few days but it's still a no show! i believe today (saturday) would've been the last of the placebo pills, but i might be off by a few days :/ i didn't think to keep track bc i'm used to looking at my pack of pills to decide how long it's been . . . i probably should have wrote it down.
