On pill but no period (yikes)

I had sex a week before I was on birth control. We did not use a condom, but we did the pull out method. I always mark on my calendar when I'll have my period, which was supposed to be the 26th of August. But I started the pill on the 12th. And today was supposed to be the start of my placebo week, but so far no period.

I guess my question is, Is this normal? My concern is that if my cycle is changing because of the birth control pills, then will they just come next time on my placebo week? I just feel like my cycle is all messed up now :/ And I don't think I'm pregnant because my boyfriend is very careful, and I know there is a chance that I may be pregnant, but I don't believe I am.

I guess I just want to find some comfort in finding out if my situation is normal. Thanks for your time everyone.

Most likely this is just your body adjusting to the hormones from the pill. You may not have a regular period for several months.

I would get a cheap preg test at the local pharmacy or Dollar Store to ease your mind.
