Does birth control alter the results of a prego test?

^^Thats the question, because Im about a month late(therefore Ive been on birth control for a month) and Ive been getting negative results, 1 of the tests was a doctors test. So I was wodnering if there was anyway birth control pills could alter a prego test. Just wondering

Also, I was wondering Ive been on birth control for 8 years and I was wodnering if after getting off of birth control if it could take awhile to be able to get pregnant?

I would greatly appreciate if someone could answer both questions!

I'm a little confused, you said you've been on birth control for one month AND for 8 years? You just mean you've had a month worth of pills since your last period? Then how are you a month late? When was the exact date of the start of your last period, I think that would clear it up.

As for the other question, it can take a few months for your body to get back to normal once you're off birth control, and I have heard that a woman can be infertile up to a few months at the start.

Pregnancy tests measure the level of HCG in your pee. Birth control doesn't alter the level of that hormone; it's one created by the placenta if you're pregnant. So nope, birth control won't affect your pee stick or a blood test.

If you start taking your BC again on Sunday, don't expect to have another period until that pack's placebo pills. Just giving you fair warning

Some women have issues getting pregnant when getting off BC. But there's often no way to know whether it was because of the pill or because they would have had trouble conceiving anyways. Believe in your body
