I love **love** my Implanon. Yes, it is hormonal. However... every other time I've switched BC my mood has done crazy things for months at a time. Got the implant, no periods since, and no crazy mood swings. I **love** this birth control. My Dr. also had me on the pill for the first 3 months because on of the common problems is prolonged bleeding after it is put in (I had that problem with Depo, which I will never recommend). I only took the pill for on month, and no periods since August 2011.
