Weight gain from depo-prevera
i had been taking the depo shot for 2 years, and i have gained almost 40 lbs. this month i was suppose to go back and take the shot again but since my dr. is telling me im over weight, i have decided not to. has anyone taken the shot as long as i have and if so, how long did it take till you started your period? did you loose weight after you had stoped? was it hard to loose the weight?

Hello, I hated depo the whole time I was on it. I gained 10lbs just from the first shot and I was bleeding the whole time. I have been off of it for about one year and I still haven't lost any weight! Good Luck to you!

Depo
I was on depo for 9 months, and gained 40 lbs. I've been off of it for almost 6 months and can't seem to get the weight off. My period still hasn't returned, which really sucks because i'm trying to get pregnant. I was told it can take up to 18 month for your cycle to return to normal.
I don't know how long it will take to get the weight off. I exercise daily and watch what i'm eating and nothing seems to work.
