I started the Depo shot about a month ago. When I was in there, they told me there were no major side effects. It took me almost two months to get my period, I had all the craps and bloating, but no period. Then I noticed that my urine is very fowl smelling, it reeks, my boyfriend cant even stand it now. This did not occur until I got that shot. Has anyone had this problem with birth control?

i advise you not take the shot anymore.i was 130 and now im 155.i hate it.i only had one shot and bled the whole time.my hair grows slowly and im extremely emotional.i cry over everything. look up on the internet a see all the side effects there horrible.from bone loss to infertility.its bad.just look it up please.i hope this helped.i really hope i didnt scare you. im sorry if i did.

I had only one shot of depo...about one year ago and it was awful! I gained 10lbs in 2 months and wouldnt stop bleeding the whole time... my doctor advised me to stay on it and I said absolutely not! Afterwards I had to go to a gyn to stop my bleeding and heard the stories about women not being able to have children because of it. I would advise you to stop after this one shot... Stick to pills, I think they are much safer! Good Luck!
