at a loss, help with birth control

Hi there I am expecting my second child and am looking into which method of contraception I would like to use post baby.

I was on Ortho 777 for 15 years, did fine on that pill with the exception of zero libido, only to find this out after I got off!

I was on Micronor (progestin) post delivery of my first baby and turned into a complete monster and had to get off it/

I suffer from extreme PMS when off borth control pills, bordering on PMDD. I am unbearable starting 10-12 days into my cycle for like 2 weeks, its crazy. But I have a great sex drive. However on the pill I have no sex drive.

I am looking for any suggestions you may have on birth control that will not decrease my libido and will also help with my pmdd.

    thanks!

Talk to your pharmacist and ask for a suggestion. They know about medication and side effect, and they can often offer a suggestion that would better suit your particular situation. The effects of medication vary greatly from person to person, so I think you need to talk to someone who understands the effect your BC has had on you.

Make sure you tell your doctor whether you're breastfeeding or not. Most hormonal BC will dry up your milk. The ones that won't are less effective. Mirena uses the same kind of hormones as the safe BCPs but is in IUD form and is extremely effective.

All you can really do is try out new pills. Different formulas will react differently to different people.
