I had sex with my boyfriend in the beginning of January. We used protection and he pulled out..im just not sure if the condom broke because I didn't see it after. I went on birth control a couple days after that, and today is my second sugar pill day (I am almost done my first pack). The doctor who gave me the birth control at the clinic said that I should expect my period when I take the sugar pills....I still haven't gotten my period.

I know it's ridiculous but I am so paranoid that I might be pregnant. I have noticed changes in my body, and I know these could be due to the birth control, but I am still so worried.

It is always advisable to use a condom during the first month that you start taking BC pills, and that is to allow your body to adjust to the meds., which you did. More than likely the condom didn't break. If you have ever experienced a condom break or had sex without a condom, I'm sure you know about the clean up detail. So you would have had that tell-tale sign.

How each individual's body works can be a little different, but typically most people start their cycle somewhere between days 2 to 4 of the sugar pills. With that said, you should start within the next two days. Something else to keep in mind for future reference, if you are given antibiotics, make sure to use a condom as well because they can make the pill less effective and some people don't realize this.
