    Birth control effects?

I started on yasmin birth control pill 3 and a bit months ago. The first two months i had a lot of side effects to thepoint where i thought i was pregnant - sore breasts, nausea, weight gain etc. Luckily all the hpt i took came out negative and my withdrawal bleeds came at the end of the active pills each time. The third month i didnt notice too many side s, just the odd twinge here and there. So end of my active pills in month three i had sex with my bf and the n withdrawal bleed came as normal. On the last day of my bleed i had sex with my bf and the next day noticed slight spotting. Then a few days later (5 days after period ended) i started cramping on and off during the day. This is still going on now 6 days later. I was wondering could anyone help suggest what this vould be because im really confused by the timing of it all and am hoping it is just more pill sides as i get accustomed to it. Ive never missed a pill but been a couple of hours late a few times during my third month. Thanks

The best thing to do us understand each woman is different, reacts differently to Birth Control Pills. With your pill pack comes a pamphlet, Read it.. It is long and in small print, so you can also google the actual pamphlet on the net and be able to read it that way .

Also any questions, symptoms, should be written down. Start a period Diary, Be sure to note When ( Day & Time ) certain symptoms start, also how they feel and when and if they stop.

    Example.
Day/Pill 1, this being, what pill you are taking in the pack. Note the Active or inactive pill .

Breasts are tender, slight discharge , cramping in morning is worse. Seems to subside in afternoon.

Day 5, less cramping, less swollen breasts.

Day 17, had sex and bled slightly, light cramping .

Day 24, period Started ( not the flow ) heavy, light and so on .

Doing this you will be more aware of when during your Pill Cycle that you might experience certain symptoms. Also the longer you are on the Pill, the lessor the symptoms ( usually ) .

The next time you see your Dr. make sure and take your Diary and ask Questions.. This is happening, is there anything abnormal about ( define symptoms) is there anything I can do to lessen ( symptom ). Should i change pill types ?

We can help you with sharing our experiences, but only your Dr. Should advise you of what to do .

Thanks for the advice BabyGirl, thats a good idea. Its more the chances of pregnancy I'm worried about. I did vomit once during the week but as soon as I did I felt fine and this morning (7th day of cramping) its more at the sides of my lower abdomen aswell as some back pain. I'm thinking of just waiting for my next withdrawl bleed as that should clear up any doubts about pregnancy if it comes. Had the odd pain in my breasts too but ive had them since I started the pill on and off anyway. Just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced these sides on the first 4 months of taking the pill

Yesterdsy I had bad back pain and heartburn too is it possible this is all being caused by the pill (im in my 4th month of taking it) or has anyone else experienced this? Im one and a half weeks from my next due withdrawal bleed

          Birth Control

When I was the age to have kids I used the pill. It worked very well. I didn't like my husband using a rubber. It just didn't feel right so He didn't use anything.
That made it more enjoyable. I love the feeling of him inside me and the feel of his sperm squirting into me.
After my second kid we didn't want any more so I had my tubes cut.

Ok so cramps continued on and off all month and todays the day ive got my period the last 3 months on the pill. Ive had a little bleeding today but nothing like normal and my cramps are nowere near as bad. Im starting to get really worried. Is it normal that ur period could go so light on the 4th month of the pill or does it sound like im pregnant? Anyone experienced anything like this?

Ok so ended up having a fair bit of bleeding for the normal amount of time during my inactive pills last month. I assume this was my period as although slightly lighter than the first 3 months, i think i bled way too much to be pregnant.
Im now into my second week of active pills in month 5 and although the headaches and nausea for the most part have gone, im still getting lower abdominal cramps for a few mins eachday. Has anyone else experiencedor heard of anyone else experiencing this on the pill?

I actually hated being on Yasmin pills. I was on them for several months, and I had huge mood swings, got really sick very often (throwing up), sore boobs, etc. I hated it, I lived on a seasaw constantly worrying I was pregnant due to all these false "pregnancy" traits. I went to the doctor and she said I had mild depression, it wasn't the pill. So I ended up getting a second opinion, he said it was definitely the pill and I switched to another brand. Mood swings disappeared, sickness/soreness/EVERYTHING else was gone. Every pill is different, you should try something different
