    IUD & intercourse?

I have a question for anyone using an IUD as a form of contraceptive.

I believe that my Gianvi (generic for YAZ) birth control is causing me to have irregular periods(twice a month). I'm thinking of asking my doctor about an IUD. But I have a question...I know they say that your spouse cannot feel them once inside you, but is this the case with a man who is well endowed? Like he can't fully penetrate because of his size?

If you have experienced this please let me know what your doctor or your spouse told you. Thank you!

I have the same questions and got a copper iud four days ago. I consider myself pretty tough but it was not easy for me. I wish I had been numbed first. The obgyn told me only on RARE occasions a man could feel the strings, but that if that was the case they can be cut shorter. She said all the lore about the IUD being lost was pretty unlikely and not a big a deal as ppl make it out to be, also that it puncturing was extremly rare and only if the doctor was incompetent and measured the cervix and uterus incorrectly.

Supposedly I wont feel any different during sex, but I know I can tell there is something in there that wasn't. this is my first day to feel mostly back to normal but I have not gone running or done anything strenuous like usual. I will wait a few more days for that and also for sex because I still don't really feel like having anything else up in there for now ,lol.

Luckily my period is only lasting one day longer than normal. The IUD is put in during cycle. I had to take hydrocodone for the post procedure cramps and panicked pretty badly during the procedure. from what I can tell most women don't get that way. I don't have any children, had never had to go to an OBGYN before I decided to do this so...it was all traumatic. it was worse than the pap smear to me by a long shot. it is done now though and the fact my period has cleared up already though I read they last longer etc etc. it a great sign to me.

hope that helped some. I am having to wait and see about the rest

I am assuming that if we can have sexwhile pregnant with out it hurting a baby, then definitely this 33mm by 32 mm device would be far less in the way...we shall see
