    Finished Microgynon

    Hi Guys,

(Hope I am posting in the right place here)
I had been on the pill (Microgynon) for just over two years (before that I had the implant in my arm for about 6 months, and before that nothing) however as I no longer have a regular sexual partner, I decided to give my body a rest! And I took my last pill August 10th. I had a normal 'pill period' lasting 4ish days.
Approximately 4 weeks later I had a normal period (regular cramps like I used to pre-pill, lasting 4-5 days) but I have not had anything since my period ended on September 15th (5 weeks ago/35 days ago). There's been a few occasions in the past 2 weeks where I've suffered with cramps/had an outburst of spots and thought this was it beginning but still nothing

I just wondered if anyone else has had similar problems when ending the pill?? (This could be completely normal but I'm hearing horror stories of people going about 7 months without a period after the pill and that would nearly put me back on it!!!!! lol) I'm already really bloated which makes me think my period is coming, however I wondered if this is something that people can have for months on end until their next period comes after the pill??

Any info or advice would help me out so much xxxxxxxxxx

I was on yasmin from early highschool to 20 something and it took a year to get periods when I stopped it while waiting for an impolant. We're not going to get in to that confusion and why it took more than a year to get mirena.

After you go off the pill it can take some time for your normal pattern of cycles to come back. Basically, the pill can confuse your body. try not to worry. If this keeps up for a few months you might want to mention it to your doctor or gyno just for peace of mind.
