    Sprintec and no period

Over the last pack of pills, I was late one night. I took it the next morning. I started the placebo week yesterday. I usually start bleeding the Friday of my last week of active pills. Today is Monday and I'm cramping likenormal but no blood. I had a little off colored discharge making me think it was coming, but it's been clear since. There's no way I'm pregnant. Need to have sex for that. So I'm just curious if it's normal for it to delay like this.

    Hi ALiB,

When I first started Tri-Previfem (the generic of Sprintec) my period came later than I was used to. On my old pill, it came the day after I took my last active pill. Now, mine comes on Monday instead of Saturday. The first time it happened to me I freaked out a little. But it did come. I was just like you, I kept waiting for it to come and I even felt a little crampy, but nothing happened! I'm sure you will get your period, just a little later than normal.

It's not uncommon to stop having periods or have them later and shorter with different brands of the pill or after using it for awhile. Some people stop having periods at all after a few months. The hormones just work really well on them.
