Important Question!
I am considering starting to skip placebo weeks and going straight to next packs since I still have kinda heavy periods while on birth control.. I have researched and it is perfectly safe since the period you have on BC is not an actual period....but my question is, since it's already the 3rd day in my placebo week, would it still be okay if I just took an active pill out of my next pack today instead of the placebo pill?? Then next week I can go back and take Sunday and Monday's active pills that I would have to skip since those two days have already passed and all...or would I just throw those two out?

You might want to look in to seasonique. It's a 3 month cycle and the last week of pills still has a low level of hormones in it. There are good odds it will eliminate your periods and probably at least shorten it to a couple light days. There is also seasonale and lybrel but they are lower dose hormones and may not work.Comment

I have actually read up some on those too. But see I get my pills for free from the health department here and I don't know if they carry the big name brands and if they do I don't think I'd get them for free. =\ But yeah the ones I am on now are Lutera which are a low dose so I'm a little afraid that it won't lighten them or skip them. I did have a really light one the whole time last month, but it went 4 extra days of spotting after the first 7 days were up. =\ But I am going to start skipping the palcebo and going straight to the next pack to see if this will help and if not then I will probably check into getting a different brand.Comment
