Anyway, so yesterday, I spotted a bit of blood on my underwear. My ob did inform me that w the depo shot, I wont get my period and that I'd only be spotting from time to time. But I got worried nonetheless cause spotting is also a n early pregnancy symptom. Implantation bleeding, they call it? And I read it happens after 6-12 days of conception. I will take a pregnancy test next week, when it's been 2-3 weeks since we had sex. I'm just really nervous. How big of a percentage can I be pregnant? Should I get a pregnancy test?

had unprotected sex, took morning after pills, contraceptive shots, pregnancy signs?
Sooo, I was very irresponsible and had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 26th of June. He was also very irresponsible because he came inside me. He wasnt supposed to, but he wasn't able to control that night. Theeeen, I took morning after pills after 8 hours and took the second dose 12 hours later. Then on the 27th of June, I got my contraceptive shot. I know, it's probably too late to be a responsible lady, but. It is what it is and feel terribly bad.

Chances of being pregnant are pretty much not worth mentioning. The morning after pill is highly effective within 48hrs of having sex. You'd also have to have sex within 5 days max of ovulation to get pregnant. Only half of couples not using contraception get pregnant per year. Then you tack the shot on to there. -
Dear Aimee,
Sorry to hear about your predicament. These decisions can be difficult. The morning after pill is not a contraceptive. Contraception works to prevent pregnancy. If you did conceive that night and your later actions ended your pregnancy then you have aborted the life of the baby that was growing inside you. Your baby was not a blob of cells. Your baby was a human being. I know people don't want to hear this and it can be difficult to accept but I beg you to please consider adoption as an amazing alternative if you find yourself in this situation again!Comment

Aimee was not seeking your advice on whether she should take the morning after pill. She was certainly not asking for your opinion on whether she should have an abortion. As I wrote in regard to your other post, you are entitled to your opinion -- but that is all it is -- an opinion based upon your religious beliefs. There is no need to inflict your religious beliefs on others.Dear Aimee,

In order for a anyone, myself included, to make an educated decision that really is best for them we need to be educated. The views I expressed concerning life in the womb are in no way religious.
Aimee, you are absolutely responsible for doing what is best for you but you should look to educate yourself in order to make that decision.Comment

Well Aimee, you was irresponsible so was you boyfriend as well it takes two. The pull out method is not good you can still get pregnant from precum. My advice get on birth control and have the boy friend wear condoms because birth control is not completely 100% effect but with the condom it will be that extra precaution you will have just in cast of you are not ready to have kids right now. Good luck I hope it all works out for you.Sooo, I was very irresponsible and had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 26th of June. He was also very irresponsible because he came inside me. If not religious, on what basis do you conclude that a fetus' life begins at conception, where it is just a bunch of cells? And if it is education that you are after, why not point amy to both sides of the issue, including the hardships of having a baby?In order for a anyone, myself included, to make an educated decision that really is best for them we need to be educated. This actually is not accurate. It usually takes hours for sperm to meet egg which is why the Plan B works. It works by making the environment hostile to conception and which is why it is taken effectively later. It prevents any implantation in the uterus which is required to make sperm and egg into a fetus.Dear Aimee,

She has not aborted a fetus and I don't think it is your job to try to educate on pro-life choices here especially since that was not asked for by the poster. She was looking for practical advise. That which we forget may as well never really happened.Comment

The following description of how and what Plan B does and doesn't do is from the Plan B web-site. Note it will not abort nor end a pregnancy, it merely prevents one.
Plan B is simple to use
And remember the sooner you take it the more effective it is.
How does plan B work? plan B is two pills which you take together. If taken within 72 hours, it prevents pregnancy by doing one of three things:
##Temporarily stops the release of an egg from the ovary
##Prevents fertilization
##Prevents a fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus
plan B is a day after pill, not an abortion pill—if you take plan B you will not be terminating a pregnancy.
If you are already pregnant and take plan B, there’s no evidence that plan B will harm you or the fetus.
That which we forget may as well never really happened.Comment
