    The Shot &After Effects

Okay so my shot was due on june 20th but they were closed n then I went out of town for a week n came back my shot was rechscheduled for july 3rd 2 days before that my fiancé had sex with me n came inside of me, twice. I havent gotten my period since January cause I started the shot in December ive had no spotting just gained 8 pounds since no other symptoms but lately ive been so sick some days I wanna throw up. Ive been pregnant n know you can't really get symptoms this early but its crazy my sex drive is low ive been working so many mornings i be super tired n my neck hurt really bad from being on a bus for hours sleeping upright coming n going home so that made it worst. My stomach also feels hard n weird. If its normal how can feel better? Its been a week since my shot n I continue to feel like this. Thanks.

I've been on Depo for nearly 5 years now. You can get pregnancy-like symptoms after the shot even if you've been on it for a while. I've had them last nearly a week sometimes. Depo also can make you gain weight. The chances of you getting pregnant during those 13 days between needing your shot are low. Depo prevents ovulation and without ovulation there is no egg to fertilize. It's especially low if you have lost your periods as I have. I can't say that it's 100% impossible for you to be pregnant, and since you seem to be so concerned I would suggest using a back up method next time. I wish you the best of luck!

Pregnancy symptoms are a result of hormones. Hormonal birth control messes with hormones. Separating the symptoms of the 2 are sometimes impossible. If you get worried then take a pregnancy test as soon as it would be accurate. Before my husband had a vasectomy I bought the things in bulk online for like $.10 each so I could use them whenever my period was being weird. Which was constantly when not on birth control and occasionally when on it.
