Is it ok to start your birth control halfway through?

Is it ok to start your birth control packet halfway through? I really don't want to wait til the start of my next period since I just got off my period last week and have decided to talk birth control.
My acne is so terrible and my cramps hurt really bad and this is the primary reason. I start a new job next week and my acne is literally giving me 0% confidence.
When i use to be on BC, my complexion was so clear. Ever since I stopped, I've been fighting acne for the past 6 months.

I think you can start it halfway through, subject to a couple of warnings:

First, the timing of your periods may be wonky for a cycle (or two, or three).

Second, if you do this I certainly wouldn't rely on it as birth control for the first cycle or two.

You can start the beginning of the pack whenever you want. It just isn't as good for birth control the first month or 2 and you might have spotting as your body gets confused when to have a period.
