I think it is highly unlikely that I am just ovulating because I have had it out for almost a month and I am also breastfeeding. Plus I've never had discharge this thick with ovulation. The last time I had a period was Dec 2006.

Thick discharge from IUD still going after removal
I had an IUD in for about a month. Everything was going ok except I had really gooey, stretchy discharge. I went in to get checked out and I didn't have an infection, it was just how my body adjusted to having the IUD. My cervix was also red and irritated looking. Well I got it out because I didn't want to deal with that discharge and it just didn't feel right for me at this point in my life. The problem is I STILL have the thick discharge. Does anyone else have this problem? Does it go away or am I now stuck like this for life?

i am having the same experience.. i had my IUD (Copper T) inserted early last month.. i bleed for more than 2 weeks.. after the bleeding i started getting thick white stuff/discharge... its been more than a month since i had the IUD inserted and everyday i get this thick white discharge.sometimes its only a tiny bit, and sometimes a lot.. im pretty sure i am not ovulating everyday.... the month is almost over and i am waiting for my period to come for this month... i will see how it goes first and what happens after the period stops, if i'd still be getting this thick white stuff...
i dnt really know if this is normal... but for now i have not experience anything bad with my IUD (knock on the wood).
