    Terrified

Over the weekend I began ovulating and I started antibiotics and I knew that may alter the effectivness of my birth control pill so my boyfriend used a condom but it slipped and I had to dig it out. When I got it out I noticed there was sperm inside still but I was still worried and bought the morning after pill (plan b) and took it around one hour after sex but I am still, for some reason, petrified and worried about becoming pregnant. What are my chances? Should I be ok? Someone help, this nervous feeling is making my life almost unbearable

You should be okay. First of all, you wouldn't be ovulating if you were on the pill, and although antibiotics can alter the effectiveness of the pill, some studies have shown that they really don't make much difference at all. The pill keeps you from ovulating, thins out your uterine layer, and creates a mucus plug for sperm, so even if one of those was compromised the other barriers usually prevent pregnancy. Still, there is a chance that you are pregnant, but I wouldn't worry too much; i've had unprotected sex several times while on antibiotics and it never was an issue for me.

Best of luck to you, I hope that eases your mind some.

I doubt you're pregnant. Relax, stressing and worrying about being pregnant can actually delay your period... stressing about anything can really.

If you took Plan B, then your chances are less.

      Best of luck to ya!

I've read that Plan B is over 80% effective when taken within 48 hours, the sooner the better. Antibiotics can effect the pill but not always and not always all antibiotics. I would think your chances are pretty low
