Going off of Pill
I went off of the progrestrin only birth control pill a week ago and still no period. My husband and I didn't have sex until I was well into the second month of pills to be safe and that was three weeks ago. I know the pills can mess with your system, but I am wondering how long I should wait to take another pregnancy test. I took one today which is three weeks after I last had sex, and it was negative. I would think it would show up by now. My breasts are bigger which they usually are before my period adn I do have cramps but I have had them for almost a week now so I am wondering what is going on. I have read that pregnancy symptoms are almost the same as PMS symptoms. Eek! I was under the impression that going off of the progestrin pills would cause me to have withdrawl bleed before now. Any thoughts on this? Mayby my stressing is the problem -
Going off of the pill
I am also having a similar problem. I have been on different birth control medicines for almost 10 years. I stopped taking my Nuva Ring a month ago b/c my husband and I want to try for a baby at the end of the summer. This is my first time going off birth control and I have not had my period yet. I took a test and it came up negative. I am running in a 1/2 marathon next weekend so I attributed my late period to that but I'm not sure. My gyno. told me getting off the pill 3 months before trying was plently of time, but now I'm worried!
