I stopped using the birth patch, when does my period come?

So I only wore the patch for the first 3 weeks (this is my first time ever using it). As you all know after that time you’re supposed to have a patch free week but I removed it and I don’t plan on using it again. It’s been two days since I removed it and I was wondering if it’s likely my period will come or is it possible that it might skip? Not to mention I’ve also been under some strong emotional stress which I also know can cause your period to be late or not come at all and whenever I had sex while using the patch it was always protected.
    Thank you.

From what I read on Planned Parenthood, it can take 1-2 months for a cycle to resume after going off the patch (and it can be irregular for up to 6 months for some). That said, you were only on the patch for a few weeks so it may not take as long for your cycle to "bounce back" to its normal rhythm. Emotional stress can definitely affect your cycle, though — so it's possible the delay is a combination of those things, stopping the patch and stress.

You can always reach out to the doctor that prescribed the patch (or at least one of the nurses at the practice) to see what they say about it. Especially since you were on it for a fairly short duration, it may not take that long for your period to return. If you're worried about a "surprise" period, though, it might be worth wearing a panty liner for the next little while, just in case it starts out of the blue.
