New to bc pills need help.

    Bonjour,

I was having very prolonged periods for one year now my dr has suggested me to take a mini pill to stop or regulate my periods.
I have so many questions about it as I have never taken ANY birth control pills in my life this would be the first one . I want to ask about the side effects of mood swings I heard this can make us very angry people I have three kids I dont want to make their life difficult by my anger, is it a common side effect secondly I want to ask about a weight gain if it is a common side effect as well and does it increase the chance of getting a breast cancer ?
Please let me know your experience of a mini pill please .
    Thanks

The pill did make me put on some weight. But luckily it all went to my boobs. I want to come off it now because my current bf has the snip and he's the only one who comes inside me

I had the same concerns you mentioned when my doctor from Ongo Care suggested the mini-pill due to prolonged periods. While mood swings, weight gain, and the risk of breast cancer are possible, they vary among individuals. Personally, I've had a positive experience with it, but it's crucial to discuss your unique situation with your doctor for personalized guidance. Your kids' well-being matters and your doctor can help you make the right choice.
