some would say that its normal..but i don't think it is..personally i hate my IUD the longer i have it the more it sucks..i have crazy bleeding..i bleed after sex..the only position that i can even remotely have sex in is missionary..my husband can feel it, it pokes him and i can feel him move it during sex. After reading everyone else's posts i have decided that im making a apt. to have mine removed..Good luck with yours..

it depends which IUD u have. i know that with Merina some stop getting their periods.
maybe you should check with your doctor.

I Had My Mirena Iud For 5 Years And I Would Rarely Get Any Periods, Maybe Some Cramping And Spotting But Never A Heavy Period, I Know With The 10 Yr Copper Iud, You Actually Get Heavy Periods. So If You Have The 5yr Mirena Iud, Don't Worry Its Normal. But Just To Be On The Safe Side, You Should Go Visit Your Doctor.
