i have the non hormonal IUD (Copper-T) it was inserted in March of this year.
because i've never had any kids the insertion was very painful.

i bled for about 2 weeks and thought it would never stop but it did eventually.
my periods are now heavier than when i was on pills.. but i never get those horrible cramps like some people do...

in my experience it really did not change much from hormonal pills to non hormonal IUD. the only thing that changed is how heavy my periods are now and that i dont have to keep remembering to take pills.

you should talk to ur doctor first if it is right for you... and if that is what you really want.
every women has different side affects with IUD or any type of birth control.

        Miz Bre,

I bled after sex and was in pain for hours with the IUD....it sucked. And now nothing but problems and a missed period for December and now Period for january is coming up and I have a feeling i'm going to miss this one. 2 negative PG tests, No pg symptoms, tons of pain in the pelvic area where my ovaries/uterus are and stomach bloating/fullness/belching and lots of pain on left side (like intestinal obstruction) (not sure if the two are related, as abdomen pain and pelvic pain are structured differently. So far my experience with the IUD isn't great and i'll be going to the doctor soon to find out what's wrong with me or if the IUD actually embedded itself somewhere down there. I wish my experience with this were great and hassle free.
