I'm currently on Depo Provera (sp?) and I'm thinking about switching over to an IUD. I'm not sure which one I want just yet, but I just wanted to know if there is anyone out there who wants to offer advice?

I'm having problems with the Depo, I have a bit of Bi Polar disorder already, and it seems that the Depo is making it worse.

I like that I don't get my period, and I don't get cramps anymore either, but my moods get even worse when I'm supposed to be on my period.

Does anyone have the Mirena IUD? How do they like it? Do the hormones effect you? Do you still get your period? Is it any lighter? Cramps?

Also, how is the ParaGard?

I never used Depo Provera either but my friend who is a medical type and had been using it for a long time vows its the worst. Thankfully DH is "fixed" so I don't have that to worry about anymore.
