I'm a 21 year old woman who's been happily using NuvaRing for over two years. However, in the past three months during the final week of the rings insertion the ring would constantly fall out of place and stick out ever so slightly (never falling out). Having been on the ring for two years I am more than aware how to correctly place the ring. In addition, it stays perfectly in place until the week before my period.

I believe it may have something to do with my cervix lowering during this time. No amount of replacement, awkward positioning, or anything will keep it in comfortably for long periods of time.

Does anyone else experience this problem? Compared to other birth control methods I find the NuvaRing to be a gift from above, but these last few months have been difficult to put up with.

Nuva Ring

I was on the Nuva Ring for a while and I had the same issue. It would feel like it was falling out but it never actually did. My doc assured me it wouldn't but it became really annoying especially when i had to pee. it would stick out also. It worked well as a birth control, but i stopped using it for this reason.... IT DROVE ME INSANE!!!

I have the same problem of the nuvaring sticking out a little, but never actually falling out. I was wondering if anyone knows, is the nuvaring still effective if it is sticking out a little. I know you can take it out for up to three hours, but what if it was sticking partially out for an entire day?
