    Facial Hair

I have extremely embarassing facial hair. I have a light mustache a couple stray hairs on my cheeks but very thick dark beard hair. It runs in my family and I shave it but it gives me dark bumps that are very noticable. I try to hide it from my husband but he notices I think. He has made little comments but for the most part we try to pretend it doesnt exist. I cry all the time because I dont know how to make this go away. I have to shave it everyday because I dont want him to accidentallly touch it and be really grossed out by me. I am african american so when I shave everyday I get the bumps like a black male would get. I really need advice on how to get rid of this!!

    Hi Deperate4Help!

    I suggest 2 things:

    1. Try waxing it off. It might hurt the first few times, but it's worth it because it removes the hair from the roots and weakens them so they don't grow as much and so quickly.

    2. The best way I know for removing facial hair is called "threading" and involves using a twisted pure cotton thread in a particular way. I'm sure you coujld youtube it an figure out how to do your chin. If not find a beautician close by who can do it (the ones who are good at this technique are generally indian, pakistani or arab women).

    I really hope this helps!

I have thick facial hair suffer from polycystic overian syndrome an one side affects is heavy facial hair at emberessing time founnd hair removr for legs veet works emencely on removing hair from the face it wipes it off after 10 mins leaving it on then take warm water on wash cloth an scrub yes it hurts but loss less painful than waxing or less costly than electrolysiis an less painful than shaving . I have waxed used electrolysis an shaved an even had it tweezd hair by hair outs . And found using cold water after on face reduces the redness an iritation or use ice cubes in a plastic baggy it sooths an also found using a mixtture of babylotion an vasseline soothes it to . They make Veet for face? I have the same problem with heavy facial hair. I just shave it off but the problem is it grows back within hours and have to do it the next day. Becareful using the Veet for legs for your face. Legs are different than your face.

The after affects are less with veet than i have had with otheer things over year i ahve had professionally waxed an my face looked like raw hamburger the veet dont make my face look like that . I had this prob since i was 15 yrs old an i am 35 now so i had it most my life .
