Before my current boyfriend I would get rid of everything.

But he likes hair, a lot. So usually I get a bikini wax and leave the rest. I trim it all the time to keep it looking nice. During my period, I feel kinda gross, but that's what showers are for right? Maintaining my hair this way is less effort and I'm all for that. I don't mind changing my preference for him, i've grown to really like this style too. if he changed his mind tomorrow I'd be willing to give something else a try!

I don't mind shaving part of it, because I luvs me sum oral luffin, and I can understand why the boyfriend isn't to eager to lick a furry nest. I don't ever shave all of it simply because I feel like I'm 9 again when there's no hair there, I find it disturbing.

Even though a thought has occured to me, I usually wear skirtini's but this year it's just a regular bikini bottom... wonder how that'll end up looking...

I don't really understand this obsession with shaving it, it's not actually cleaner, it's there to help keep out bacteria(even though I'm defeating that point by the parts that I shave). If you shower regularly why would the hair be so much/any dirtier than your bare vulva? Because it's not as obvious as matted hair? If you're so worried about being unclean on a period, use tampons, problem solved, so much cleaner and easier to deal with. Now the first day of my periods, I bleed so bad I feel like using a tampon is like a cork and it actually hurts, so I have to use a pad, second day I'm on tampons though.

I agree with Gavin and Brian2, I wish I could destroy television/magazines/half the internet so they could stop brainwashing females into what is appropriate, pretty, and acceptable for females.

What is a good brand Epilator to get? What would you ladies recomend? I shave...but I do get hair bumps from time to time and can never really get all that I want off. Its annoying. However I love the clean feel! In the winter I trim it close, I have soft hair so its a turn on for me..lol
When I was younger I actually had a stylist for my lil woman (thats what I CALL HER) He was gay but took great care and trim'd her and put designs like palm trees..hearts...my name Ohhhh how I miss him ...then I was forced to do it myself and it ****es me off at times

Is it wrong to just pray for alopecia in the "nether regions"??? That's what I do!

I have always just done my bikini line. I'm a swimmer so I see naked ladies all the time in the locker room. When I see someone who has it all shaved it just sort of grosses me out! Do you want to look 8? I guess it depends on the person... But I also feel like "society" has decided a women shouldn't be hairy. I'm always the hairiest in the locker room!!! I hardly ever shave my legs, and when I do just from the knee down. When I'm with a guy for the first time I'm always a little nervous about how he's going to take the fact that I'm the way I'm supposed to be (HAIRY!).

LB: I think most guys would like a woman shaved, or not or anything in between as far as a woman's privates. Many men like women with hairy legs, or with shaved legs. Many men like women with shaved armpits, others like them au naturel. Oriental women may have no pubic hair or may have only wisps or may have a full growth, so hairless is not only for the under-aged.

I understand your point, jns. Like we have already stated, men all have preferences, I guess women do too! haha=) Seeing a women completely shaved is sort of strange to me. But whatever floats your boat!

I'm glad that people are happy hairy, happy shaved, and happy in between. I just wish more people were "okay" with having hair. Because I do feel like it is a social constraint. My friends constantly say "ugh look at my gross, hairy legs." Why is hairy associated with gross? It's the way we are! Men can be as hairy as bears and women/men find them equally attractive.

In that way men are being less influenced by advertising. I wonder if a movie came out that had a star getting the pretty starlet after shaving his legs and a big advertising campaign started about new equipment that made such shaving fast and easy, if men would start shaving. It was Clark Gable not wearing a undershirt in a movie that caused undershirt sales to plummet (undetermined per snopes). I doubt women shaved so completely 100 years ago. They still don't in many parts of the world.
