    Smooth Away.

Has anyone ever tried Smooth Away?

I keep getting told that it is very good but am wondering if there are any pros or cons and just how good it really is.

    Any help please, gratefully received.

I haven't personally tried it, but my neice did. She said it was useless for her. Basically she said that if you have a big area to go over you will be smooth away-ing for hours because you need to keep going in a circular motion in one little 2"x2" spot until the hair is gone and then move on to the next spot... So good for pits maybe, but legs or something? Yeah, probably not worth it!

Oh and she said it doesn't work on pubic hair because its too course for the smoothy-thing to handle... but that might depend on the person?

i have tried smooth away in the last week.

and it is hard work. the results are no better than shaving.... except maybe no shaving rash if that is a problem for you..

As for being bad for your skin...how is it bad for your skin? You're just exfoliating the hair off....it's not any more dangerous than scraping away the first layer of skin with a sharp pointy razor, ripping the hair out with hot wax, or dissolving it away with chemicals. It's just like sandpaper for your skin, but it feels smooth to the touch. Plus, you won't cut yourself.

I purchased Smooth Away from my local drugstore. (London Drugs) It is a pretty slow procedure, and if you use it on your upper lip for the first time, be careful because it might sting for the rest of the day, but after that first time it should be okay. The small Smooth Away pad is really good for the upper lip so it's totally worth it. I don't use the large ones much. Shaving is much easier for the legs and arms.

              PROS:
              -Gives you smooth skin
-Less painful and "dangerous" than shaving or waxing

              CONS:
              -Slow
-Really slow on large areas of the body
-Can hurt delicate skin areas at first use

I got one. The pads are EXACTLY like ultra-fine sanding paper, AND it irritated my skin, plus is really slow. Its not really worth it.
