    Planning on "waxing" the downunder

I've been considering getting a brazilian for a while now and think that as a surprise for my husband I'll do it. The day spa I'm going to has this method called Sugaring, which I had never heard of before. I youtubed it and watched a couple news broadcasts about it. It is basically a sugary paste that is used instead of wax and it's supposed to hurt less than waxing does.

Has anyone used this method before?

2nd question. For those of you who have waxed or sugared before, have you used a soothing cream or anesthetic cream? What product did you use? I want something that isn't too pricey. Did you have a bad reaction with the creams? Or should I just go as is and not use any products for skin soothing?

If you want a males perspective - I just had this done today - Yes, full Brazilian! I know, but its something my wife wanted - so I did it!

I wont go into everything here as it has already been spoken about. Everything from my nervousness about the pain involved to what actually happened. If you indeed are interested, search for the thread titled: "OK so there we were... then... SURPRISE!"
It should lay quite a few of your questions to rest and make you feel more comfortable about getting it done.

    Hope it helps

The first time I got my Brazilian done. I went to an older woman (I was 19 at the stage). I had never done any trimming or whatever down there. So I was super embarrassed. She kept on saying to me, "Imagine how awesome it'll be when a guy sees you're all nice and perty!" and making remarks liek, "Don't worry. Just pretend this is your first..." or "Pretend I'm a guy down there and relax and have fun."

It hurt. I'm not gonna lie. t hurts every time you do it but if you get it done by a professional... it makes all the difference in the world. I've gone to four different women since I did that. The first lady was excellent. The second lady did it so poorly I had SCABS down there... third was atrocious =/ and fourth was a miracle worker!

I know am moving and need to find a new lady... I nearly cried when I told my current beautician. After going to her for four years... you get attached =)
