And regarding the topic of body hair removal, could anyone decsribe advantages and disadvantages of removing hair from their arms, judging by their own experience or experience of someone you know?

waxing, Shaving, threading, tweezing, depilatories, lasers - there is all kinds of technique. It depends on the part of body, how much hair there is, and how coarse or dark the hair is. And I suppose, to a lesser extent, how much money you want to spend.

My g/f has tried 'em all: laser, waxing, creams, & shaving. She's back where she has started: Fusion. It's fastest and most convenient. It takes her about two minutes to shave her legs and underarms. Admittedly, she doesn't touch the top of her pubic area. She doesn't wear tiny bikinis. She does wear very short shorts.

Are women still removing all of their body hair? I thought that that fad was over.

I did see a woman in the gym the other day with her forearm hair removed. That was the first time I had seen that in a long time.

My g/f appreciates that I don't care if she shaves. She rarely goes a long time w/o shaving. She usually keeps her bush trimmed and groomed, but I've seen it otherwise. I've never said a thing to her about her grooming habits. How she grooms is her business. But when it has been in need of work, she'll usually get around to trimming and shaving her bikini area.

I also remove my forearm hair. I hate having hairy arms. Before I started shaving my arms the hair was thick & black like a werewolf: really. This seems funny but it looked awful. So I shave my forearms 3 to 4 times a week. I like having bare arms and shaving has saved me a lot of embarrassment.

When you consider methods such as electolyis and laser hair removal, you have to remember that hair growth has cycles and periods where some hair follicles are active and some are not. So the active ones, the ones currently growing hair, and the ones these methods target. This is why you have to go back more than once, because the previously dormant ones wake up and begin growing hair.

That being said, many people I know have had success with Cutera's excel HR laser at their dermatologist's office.
