Enlarged ovary. NEED HELP!
I’ve been having pain for about 2 ½ years now on my right side around the area of my ovary. My parents told me I was fine and not to worry about it, but this last year it has progressively gotten worse. At one point I was at my boyfriend’s house, I reached up to give him a hug and I felt the worst pain I’ve ever felt before. It made my breathing stop and I was basically passing out every 10 minutes because the pain was so intense. The day after I went to the urgent care and was told it was just a strained muscle, which I knew wasn’t true. I ended up making an appointment with my doctor and she wanted me to do a pap. Well I told her about the issue and she felt around that area during the pap and said my ovary was very inflamed; she then gave me anti-inflammatory medication and decided it was probably best to put me on birth control. Daily the pain was getting worse and worse, so my doctor saw me about once every week. She took at least 3 viles of blood every single time I went in, and came up with nothing after about 2 months. She gave me a referral to get an ultra sound, which I had about 3 months ago. Well since then I’ve called just about every week to see if the results are back and after 3 months I still have not heard 1 thing about my ultra sound. So what I need to know is if I am supposed to get a vaginal ultra sound? I’ve tried asking my doctor but she never has any openings and nobody else will answer my questions. I need to know if this is something I seriously need to worry about, because the pain I’m experiencing certainly makes me think I should.
