    Ovarian cyst

    Hi there,

In the past several months I have had ovarian cysts off and on, and the last time I had an u/s was in August. That is pretty much when things started to go downhill for me, I have been having terrible abdominal bloating and I'm to the point where I'm wearing my sweats or clothes that I would normally wear to the gym. I feel as if I have gained at least 10lbs, however, when I get on the scale the number has not changed? but my stomach literally looks as if I'm about 4 months pg. I had my my annual checkup/pap on Oct.12 and everything came back normal, and now I have gone to my pcp to find out why I eat so little yet feel so bloated, since I can't seem to drink a glass of water without becoming bloated. So far my abdominal x-ray came back normal. I'm wondering if cysts can cause this awful bloating and pain from one month to the next? I have had them in the past and the doctor would give me something for pain, the cyst would go away and that would be the end of it until next time. However, it seems they are getting more painful and affecting the amount I eat and drink

So sorry to ramble on, but perhaps someone who suffers from chronic cysts will be able to help?

    Thanks in advance

Actually I use this board something else, but came across yours because I say you speaking about Cyst...
Yeah got to love them i have been dealing with them for over 15 years. Last time in Sept I was hospitalize for my cyst rupturing. This cysts was different I was getting BLOATED looking like I was pregnant, being mean because of the hormones, etc...
But I did come across this : squidoo.com/elimiateovariancyst I am going to try it out.
Now the funny thing in all of this is now I might be pregnant going to go get a blood test tomorrow, I will not do HPT - THEY DO NOT WORK.... I was pregnant with my son and it came out negative at a doctor's office. So blood is the only way I go.
Best of Luck with your Cyst...
I still remember the first one I had and asking my doctor what can I do to prevent... He said nothing... Thank goodness there might be hope.

      have a great one

well i was told I have a cysts on 1 ovary so I have an appt tomorrow with the doctor, my symtoms were irregular bleeding followed by a sonogram to diagnose the cysts. my question is Should I be abstaining from sex because for the first time since i was diagnosed I had moderate cramps after intense sex and orgasm, Is this normal and are the cramps linked to the ovarian cysts? how will the doctor treat them? I am nervous about the cysts, but I will post additional information tomorrow after my appt..
